Description
This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The selling dealer reports that it was acquired from an owner of nearly 40 years. A refurbishment completed in 1989 included rebuilding the engine and transmission, repainting the exterior, and reupholstering the interior.
The car is finished in Riverside Red and features flip-up headlights, fender vents, side-exit exhaust pipes, quad tail lamps, and chrome bumperettes. It rides on 15-inch turbine wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich redline tires.
The interior was refreshed with new seat covers, foam, carpeting, and weatherstripping. Equipment includes a heater, AM/FM radio, analog clock, and lap belts. The three-spoke steering wheel fronts refurbished factory gauges, including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary readouts. The odometer shows 75k miles, with about 40 added under current ownership.
The 327ci V8 uses a four-barrel carburetor and finned aluminum valve covers. Both the engine and the four-speed manual transmission were rebuilt in 1989, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a Positraction differential.
