Description
This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was acquired by the seller in 2021 and fitted with a custom LS-based 7.0-liter V8 built with Darton sleeves, an LS7 crankshaft, titanium rods, and forged pistons. Power is transferred through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a Dana 44 rear end.
The car rides on a Street Shop chassis equipped with QA1 coilovers and C4 Corvette-spec suspension and brakes. It has 18-inch American Racing Draft wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force tires and cross-drilled rotors with rebuilt calipers. The exterior was refinished in blue under prior ownership and features a black soft top, side-exit exhaust, and a body-color removable hardtop.
The cabin is lined with sound-dampening material and features black bucket seats with perforated inserts. Interior highlights include Vintage Air air conditioning, power windows, an Ididit steering column, Dakota Digital HDX gauges, and a clock with auxiliary readouts in the center stack. The odometer shows 599 miles, representing the distance since the build was completed.
The modified 7.0-liter LS engine includes a Holley Sniper intake manifold, Holley accessory drive kit, DeWitts aluminum radiator, and an American Autowire harness. Power is delivered through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a Dana 44 differential.
